A $40m primary school redevelopment delivered for Sydney Catholic Schools through Sensum as client-side PM consultancy. The project ran on a live school campus, meaning every staging decision had to weigh delivery progress against student safety and minimal disruption to teaching.
Key challenges
The live-campus context drove the bulk of the programming and logistics complexity. Site access, hoarding, deliveries and noisy works were sequenced around school hours, terms and event days. Weekly project reviews with the client and PM team kept the path forward visible and gave the team room to renegotiate scope or staging when reality moved on the ground.
Documentation discipline was a real constraint on this project — handover and Occupation Certificate documents were curated and transmitted over the closing months to keep PC and OC milestones on track.

Delivered through Procore and Microsoft Project for schedule, status and budget tracking. Stakeholders included the school principal, Sydney Catholic Schools project team, design consultants, the builder and the local Council. Reporting was weekly to the client and bi-monthly to the broader stakeholder group.
